How it all began

I picked up a brush at fifteen. Not to become a painter—I just wanted to help my family. Our house needed work, the kind of work nobody wanted to do on a Saturday. So I did it. I learned as I went: how to prep a wall right, how to make edges clean, what happens when you rush. It wasn't fancy. It was honest.

Neighbors noticed. They asked if I could paint their homes too. I said yes. I painted through high school, through college, and kept going. Somewhere between the second and fiftieth house, I realized this wasn't a side job anymore. It had become who I was.

That was fifty-eight years ago. I'm still mixing colors, still climbing ladders, still meeting homeowners who want their walls done right. The tools have changed. The people have changed. The reason hasn't: someone needs it done well, and I know how to do it.
